How To Network Market

How To Network MarketIt’s the day before a long weekend here in Canada and I’m sitting at my computer wondering how to network market with a blog.   Over the last few years, Network Marketing/ Affiliate Marketing has been great for me.  I have met many inspiring individuals and have seen many new places in my travels.  At some point in this business you will sit back and think about how tough it was when you started.  This is more normal than you think, as it seems to catch everyone at some time or another. “How did I make it here? How am I making a living doing this?” These are a few of the questions I have asked myself as the journey seemed like a blur at times.

So when I started this business, I had a profession (my job), a family, and wanted to do more than just talk to family and friends (I had done this many times for my other career).  My up line in the first company kept telling me to make a “memory jogger” list of family and friends to call.  I was FRUSTRATED !!! Not only was I not making any money, I had no idea how to network market and another auto-shipment of juice coming in five days. So I did what 98% of all network marketers do in this situation, I blamed my company and up line.  How can it be that I see these guys making seven figures that are dumber than doornails? What did they know that I didn’t? These guys have been in their companies for seven years or more and built a huge following of prospects to call on.

I still had no idea how to network market

It was only a few months later when the next company was in “pre-momentum” and was ready to explode.  I kept telling myself “I will make it this time! This company is the ticket!”  The comp plan is killer, the product is great!  This is how I kept myself positive. As history tends to repeat itself, so did my history in Network Marketing. This time was really different though; I spent several hours researching online how to network market with a blog and on how to generate prospects to join my company. I ran across a video telling me to buy this system and I can make any opportunity work and work very well. These guys were tearing it up; enrolling 20, 40, 100 reps a month! How is that even possible? I soon found out…

Once I signed up for a free trail, I was hooked. I spent every spare second I had to watch these videos. Then about 4 days in I was so confused, overwhelmed, and FRUSTRATED again! It took a solid two weeks before everything started to fall into place. I was taught to start a WordPress Blog (like this one), get a good auto-responder, set up a Facebook Fan Page. D on’t forget to submit your new content, buy an article submitter to blast these article out to 1500 plus sites, then network, network, and network some more. I found myself going back to  training almost daily to confirm I was doing this correctly. After about two days of working to get my blog hosted and figuring out how to continuously update my content, it seemed to never end.  But that was what got me here today teaching YOU how to network market!

Now I realized it’s not really about how to network market, but how to create leverage

Now, that my business is almost on autopilot, I work on content and updating my blog a few hours a day and the rest of the day is spent enjoying my family and speaking one on one teaching others how to network market.  This can, and will seem like the most overwhelming career choice ever made but if you are one of the 97%, you will be great!

If you don’t understand the 97% rule, here it is:

How To Network Market97% of network marketers fail, and sponsor less than 2 people….. what they didn’t tell  you, is that’s only half the story.  97% of network marketers fail, that LEAVE their companies as if that’s the pro blem.  The other side of the story, is that 97% of the people that STAY, WIN!  Amazing concept.  So either way you look at it, you’re right – 97% that go fail, 97% that stay win!  But what does “staying” mean?  It means staying with the process… if  you are not into the company, leave the company — no problems there.  But stay the course, stay on track, stay focused and stay with winners.

I will assure you that if you make the sacrifices early on and learn how to network market properly, this process has a 97% success rate. Here is a check list of products and tasks needed when starting out:

  • Secure a good domain name.  Something like “www.workwithyournamehere.com” is good.
  • Set up a WordPress Blog. (I suggest hosting it from the start/ I used GoDaddy.com)
  • Begin writing content/ reviews daily.  You can get plenty of content ideas just from your day to day conversations with people.
  • Set up an auto responder for lead e-mailings. (Aweber is my favorite)
  • Begin submitting content to TribePro.

More advanced marketing includes: Facebook PPC, Google PPC, and even YouTube PPC (I will discuss these and many more advanced techniques in a later article).
